Getting a mortgage for a flat that is situated above a commercial outlet can be very difficult at the best of times but when it is above a pub, or other potentially or disruptive establishment, it can be nearly impossible. This can apply even if the flat is not directly above the commercial outlet.

Because of this, such flats can often be purchased at very reasonable prices and there are many people who would be happy living in such a flat and some who would consider it advantageous.
